This will serve as a practical example of how innovation can be adapted to extreme environments., The discussion will also examine the Nepalese context, highlighting the working conditions of guides and porters, as well as the social and cultural dynamics of mountain tourism. Particular attention will be given to unequal exposure to risk and the broader implications for safety and sustainability in high-altitude regions., Speaker Bio , Paolo Rodi Is a medical doctor with a background in trauma and emergency surgery, currently working in Switzerland. His work focuses on disaster medicine, global surgery, and humanitarian health, with a particular interest in improving access to care in resource-limited settings., He is actively involved in mountain and extreme environment medicine, combining clinical practice, research, and field experience in high-altitude regions such as the Andes and the Himalayas.
